About us

We organize around what matters to the client.

Four decades of hands-on experience, a scalable workforce and a practical understanding of residential, rental and commercial priorities.

Why we exist

Transforming spaces with purpose.

Speedy Gonzalez Painting was created from a love for transforming spaces. We improve what needs attention, focus on the details that make a difference and treat every property with care and respect.

We understand that every project has a deadline, a purpose and a financial impact. For property owners, managers and businesses, every unfinished day can mean lost rent, delayed operations or lost income. Our response is to evaluate the scope, organize the appropriate crew and coordinate the schedule without ignoring the details.

We also understand the personal meaning behind residential work. A home is connected to a family’s comfort, routines, belongings and plans. We listen to what matters, protect the property and work to make the process as smooth as possible.

A deadline with personal meaning

Helping a family get home for Christmas.

A family purchased a new home and hoped to move in before Christmas so they could celebrate together in their new space.

Understanding what that deadline meant, we added team members and worked two Saturdays to help complete the project on time.

That experience represents how we work: listen to the client, understand what is at stake and organize the team around the project’s real priorities.

Meet the team

Experience, coordination and care behind every project.

Speedy Gonzalez Painting is supported by experienced supervisors, crew leaders, estimators, painters, craftsmen and specialized tradespeople.

A successful project requires more than individual skill. It requires planning, communication, preparation, coordination and a team selected according to the needs of the property.

For projects requiring licensed plumbing, electrical or other regulated work, we coordinate with qualified subcontractors and organize the schedule so each stage is completed in the correct order.

Founder, Contractor & Master Painter

Bernardo

Bernardo is the founder of Speedy Gonzalez Painting, an experienced contractor and a master painter. He oversees the company’s projects, evaluates jobsite needs, organizes crews and works closely with supervisors to maintain quality, communication and progress from beginning to completion.

Bernardo understands that every client has different priorities. A homeowner may be preparing to move into a new home, a property manager may need an apartment completed quickly for the next tenant, and a commercial client may need work coordinated around employees, customers and business hours.

He organizes the team according to the size, scope, schedule and requirements of each project. His leadership helps connect the client’s expectations with the work performed in the field.

Construction Supervisor & Master Tile Specialist

Roberto López

Roberto brings 30 years of construction experience and serves as one of the company’s primary jobsite supervisors and Bernardo’s trusted right-hand partner. He is known for attention to detail, practical problem-solving and excellent communication with clients.

His primary specialty is ceramic and tile installation, particularly for kitchens and bathrooms. Before beginning, Roberto studies the space and visualizes how every part of the installation should come together, considering measurements, layout, materials, functionality and final appearance.

Once satisfied with the plan, he guides the installation with precision. His experience helps him recognize possible challenges before they cause delays or affect the final result while he supervises crews, monitors workmanship and keeps work aligned with the agreed scope and schedule.

Crew Coordinator & Drywall, Taping and Painting Specialist

Juan García

Juan brings 15 years of experience in drywall installation, taping, surface preparation and painting. He also coordinates workers, daily assignments, materials and the order in which each stage of a project must be completed.

Juan understands that a professional paint finish begins before the first coat is applied. He evaluates the age and condition of the building—including walls, corners, edges, joints and textures—and identifies the preparation or repairs needed to achieve the finish requested by the client.

He helps ensure drywall and taping are completed correctly so painting can continue without unnecessary delays, visible seams, uneven surfaces or unfinished edges.

  • Repairing damaged drywall
  • Correcting joints and corners
  • Matching existing textures
  • Preparing walls and ceilings
  • Coordinating sanding, priming and painting
  • Organizing workers according to their skills
  • Monitoring progress throughout the project

Kitchen Renovation Supervisor, Subcontractor Coordinator & Crew Mentor

Andrés

Andrés brings more than 30 years of construction experience, with a primary focus on kitchen renovations. He understands how demolition, preparation, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, installation, painting and final details must connect.

He works with carpentry, plumbing and electrical supervisors to coordinate the correct order of work. When licensed electricians, plumbers or other specialized trades are required, Andrés communicates with qualified subcontractors, coordinates site access and scheduling, and confirms that the space is ready before the next phase begins.

Although he serves in a supervisory role, Andrés works hands-on when needed. He also mentors younger crew members by demonstrating proper techniques, explaining the reason behind each step and helping less-experienced workers strengthen their skills.

His leadership maintains communication between supervisors, subcontractors, workers and company management while passing decades of construction knowledge to the next generation.

Master Stone, Quartz, Marble & Ceramic Specialist

Hilario

Hilario brings more than 20 years of experience working with stone, quartz, marble and ceramic surfaces. He specializes in installation, repair, restoration and detailed finishing for kitchens, bathrooms, countertops, walls, floors and custom applications.

Calm, focused and highly detail-oriented, Hilario evaluates the material, surface condition and result expected by the client. He carefully manages every cut, placement, alignment, repair and finish.

Hilario is especially committed to restoration work. Because marble and certain natural stones are delicate and may require specific care, he explains these differences to property owners and provides guidance on cleaning and maintenance after completion.

His patience, craftsmanship and willingness to educate clients help protect the quality and appearance of the finished work for years to come.

Preconstruction, Estimating & Business Development Manager

Ana Torres

Ana was raised in a family with deep roots in residential construction, restoration, reconstruction, remodeling and exterior improvements. She later worked directly with her father’s construction business, communicating with clients, scheduling appointments, preparing contracts, coordinating projects and supporting crews with jobsite materials.

After receiving training in Xactimate estimating, Ana worked alongside project management in risk-management and preconstruction. She reviewed detailed scopes, identified missing or unclear items, anticipated labor and material needs, communicated with insurance adjusters and helped prepare for issues before they affected production.

At Speedy Gonzalez Painting, Ana works with Bernardo and the project-management team to create a clear transition from estimating to production. She also supports commercial bidding and the company’s preparation for future government contracting opportunities.

Her experience allows her to view a project from the perspectives of the client, estimator, insurance company, property manager, project manager and construction crew.

  • Reviewing scopes of work
  • Preparing and adjusting Xactimate estimates
  • Coordinating insurance-project information
  • Communicating with adjusters and property managers
  • Identifying labor and material requirements
  • Reviewing scope changes or missing items
  • Supporting commercial bidding
  • Developing proposals and project documentation
